We are delighted to announce that after almost two years of hard work, our Palm Tree Health Spa is almost complete. Our Spa is a terrific addition to the hotel and we’re excited to show our customers this beautiful area. We’ve been working hard to ensure that every aspect of the Spa has a high quality finish. Inspired by the beautiful surroundings, Palm Tree Health Spa is a peaceful, light-filled space, only a short distance across from our hotel (see map below). Unwind in the beautiful natural surroundings, indulge in a soothing Spa Treatment or relax by our Salt Water Pool.
Salt Water Swimming Pool
Enjoy our 7m by 15m (22 by 50 ft) Natural Salt Water Pool for some exercise or to cool down on a hot day. The pool features a smaller kids pool as well as a whirlpool area. Benefits of a Salt Water Pool: Because it has lower chlorine levels, a saltwater pool will not have the same harsh effects on the body compared to a regular chlorine based pool. By using a Natural Salt Water Pool, your skin is far less exposed to being striped of its natural oils. Access to the pool is free for all hotel guests and included in all purchased treatments by outside guests. For pool use only we charge 10$ (includes the use of Badminton and Table Tennis area).
At Palm Tree Health Spa you can enjoy a variety of treatments in our indoor and outdoor treatment areas. See our Menu below to find the treatment of your choice. Our staff is well trained and speaks English. Male and female massage therapists are available.
Other facilities include Badminton area, Table Tennis and in the future a Steam Room and a Gym.
How to get there?
Our Spa is located across from the hotel on the other side of the Nam Khan River. There are a variety of ways to get to the Spa, transportation is free for all hotel guests. Outside guests booking a massage treatment are also entitled to free transportation - just come to our Reception at the Mekong Riverview Hotel.
1. (7-8 minutes) by boat and by foot - a gentle 2 minute boat ride then a 5 minute walk to the spa, one of our reception team will meet you on the other side of the river
2. (8-10 minutes) by foot across from the bamboo bridge opposite the hotel restaurant - a member of our spa team will meet you on the other side of the bridge
3. (15 minute) by minivan from the hotel
As we continue the process of completing the grounds of our Palm Tree Health Spa, we have created this gallery to keep you in touch with the progress we are making. We will continue to update the gallery as the work continues, so keep in touch and follow us as we near completion.
What our customers say...
Martin D - Hotelier
We went for a massage around mid day. The welcome at front office was warm and friendly, the staff spoke good English and offered us a delicious butterfly pea tea as a great start to our spa experience.
The spa staff listened very well to our requests and we had by far one of the best Lao massages we've ever had.
The masseuse was very attentive and friendly, the massage was exactly as we asked for. Great place for a great massage at an affordable price! We decided to relax in the treatment room for a few minutes after the massage and finished our experience with a delicious tea served when we got back to the front office area.
Francios N - Physiotherapist
One of my best massage experience here in Luang Prabang. I got the Thai massage. I'm a physiotherapist and osteopath and i can say that the masseur had a professional feeling with his hands .
The place is super clean (room , bathroom , changing room , table) and the table so comfortable. The staff was polite and courtly since the beginning till the end .
The tea on the terrace after the massage is delicious and pleasant. Thanks .
Alicia - Teacher
Wow, just wow. from the welcome drink, to the room, to the robes, to the pressure my whole experience was perfect.
I chose the oil massage and the aroma and again pressure was great. I have a bad shoulder which the young masseuse respected and was gentle when in that area.
This new spa will and should be on your list to experience when in Luang Prabang, I'll definitely return. Thank You.
